Course Requirements and Electives
Students must take six to eight courses each semester (a combination of required and elective classes). Courses marked with an asterisk (*) are required by the State of Minnesota.
Freshman Year (Grade 9)
Required Courses:
* English (ESL or English levels 1 through 6)
* Mathematics (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry)
* Biology
* Physical Education (1 semester)
Keyboarding (1 semester)

Sophomore Year (Grade 10)
Required Courses:
* English (ESL or English levels 1 through 6) 2008-09 Is a transition year -- as SCLHS
Mathematics (Algebra I/II, Geometry) moves World History to Sophomore year
* Physical Science and U.S. History to Junior year. All
* World History (or ESL World History) students in grades 10 and 11 will have
* Physical Education (1 semester) World History in 2008-09. Next year's
* Health (1 semester) Juniors will have U.S. History.
