ESL summer camp

ESL Summer Camp

Summer Language Experience During three weeks in late July, St. Croix offers a summer English camp for twelve to fourteen year-old students. Students attend ESL classes in the morning and go on an activity to practice English in the afternoons. Afternoon and weekend activities include the Mall of America, professional baseball game, swimming, science museum and Capitol building tour. Camp students stay in the St. Croix residence and have study time to work on daily English lessons. Two supervisors stay with the students in the residence and are available to assist students at all times.

Summer Camp Schedule - Monday through Friday

• 6:45 am-7:45 am - Rise & Shine! Wake up. Get dressed
• 7:45 am - Breakfast
• 8:30 am - Spiritual time
• 8:45 am - Reading
• 9:45 am - Break
• 9:55 am - Oral communication
• 10:40 am - Written communication
• 11:25 am - Break
• 11:30 am - Activity prep time
• 12:15 pm - Lunch
• 1:15 pm - Afternoon activity (Swimming, Museum visit, Mall of America, Bowling, or other activity)
• 5:00 pm - Dinner
• 5:30 pm - Personal time
• 6:30 pm - Study hall
• 7:30 pm - Evening activity (Open gym or games)
• 9:15 pm - Daily announcements
• 9:30 pm - Snack time
• 10:00 pm - Room time
• 10:30 pm - Light out! Bedtime.
