St. Croix Celebrated 50th Anniversary in 2007-08

The St. Croix alumni, family and friends family kicked off the year-long 50th Anniversary with a weekend of events August 10-12, 2007.

• 100 golfers played in the annual golf classic held at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minnesota.
• 34 motorcyclists drove a 132-mile course to four stops at WELS churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  The riders started with a brief stop to greet Jon and Donna Harley, to whom the ride was dedicated. 
• 175 attended the Patriotic Tribute, including approximately 60 alumni who had served their country in the military.
• 284 alumni and friends registered for the banquet and dance at the St. Paul Crowne Plaza.
• 250 people gathered for a Sunday worship service in the chapel and luncheon following.
